There are a few things you can try to make Cranky, your remote and/or Flynn start working together:

1. Please make sure you have EIGHT fresh, alkaline batteries in the product.
2. If one battery brand is not working for you, we suggest you try another as different brands have different connectivity points. 
3. We have found batteries that are rechargeable do not work as well with this product.
4. Please make sure you have turned on BOTH switches.  1 switch is located on the remote and 1 is on the crane itself.
