• Did you read over the written instructions and watch the DVD Set Up for the Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ and DVD Game? 
• Do the DVD remote control and the Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ doll both have fresh batteries? (Weak batteries in can make the programming process difficult.)
o If your remote control is a Universal or "Combo" Remote, please be sure that it is in DVD mode.
• Check the location of the infrared (red light) on your remote. Make sure you’re pointing the Infrared light on the remote control at the clear jewel on the Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ doll’s necklace (her infrared receiver).  The Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ doll will not program if you do not aim the remote control at the red jewel on the Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ doll necklace. 
• The distance between the infrared light of the DVD remote control and the infrared light (clear jewel) of the Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ doll should be 1 inch.
o Please note that for some DVD remote controls that send out weak signals, you may need to move the remote control as close as ¼ inch to the infrared light (clear jewel) of the Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ doll.
• Did you continuously hold down the blue button until the red jewel on the Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ doll’s necklace flashed three times?
o If you release the blue button in the middle of a programming step, the programming will fail. You’ll need to start over the programming from the beginning by pressing the white button once to turn off the program mode and pressing it once again to turn it on and re-start from step 1.
• When you program the Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ doll, you should be at least 10 feet away from the TV/DVD player that you are using.
• What brand DVD player do you have?
o If your DVD player is any of the following brands:
please contact Consumer Relations/UK for a replacement doll as your DVD is not compatible with our Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ and DVD Game. This type of DVD Player requires different electronic components in the Rainbow Adventure™ Elina™ and DVD Game.
