The Fisher-Price My First Book encourages mom to interact with baby or let baby play alone with numerous scenes, music, sound effects, and texture. Mom can take the cute baby character "through the day" by showing her newborn how the character interacts with each scene. When baby gets older he can use the baby character to go exploring all by himself. The first page shows play time with a pop-up play yard slot for the character. The second page shows feeding time with the character fitting into a highchair and soft lift the flap kitchen cabinet doors reveal food pictures. Next, show baby bath time with a soft textured towel with peek-a-boo reveal and tethered rubber ducky character that can go in the tub with the baby character. The last page shows bed time with a crib and soft waffle blanket to touch and cuddle. There is a music button on the spine of the book that can be pressed for two songs and two sound effects. When playtime is over, the baby character can be tucked in the book's front pocket while the book is held closed by a velcro closure. 2 volume settings are easily adjustable on the book's spine or sounds can be turned off.
