The booster needs to be correctly assembled to its designated wall bracket in order to function. The designated wall bracket has a notch on it. This notch ensures the motor only works when attached to the bracket. All other brackets are flat.

There are many different ways to score points during a race.
Win the race:
The best way to score points is to win the race, but you'll also score points for coming in second, third or fourth place, all the way down to eighth. So, even if you do come in last, you still score points for finishing, so get out there and race. The more you race, the more points you earn!
Lead a lap:
You score points each time you're in first place at the end of a lap. That's three chances per race to lead the pack and tack on additional points as a race leader!
Perform stunts:
Jumps, aerial maneuvers, flips and riding the walls all contribute to your overall point total! Race hard and maintain the lead, bu add some acrobatics to stock up on stunt points. Show off and score big!
Collect Coins:
Find the three coins on each track for added points. They're not always in the same place, so keep your eyes open; those coins really add up!

Make sure the game is fully updated to ensure the camera is working (you should see four active game options). Aim the camera at the stand. Place a booklet page under the camera and make sure it is aligned in the recess on the table. Make sure the coded area is not covered, marked on, or torn. The camera will see the code and then display a message on screen asking if you want to proceed to the new activity. Follow the instructions on the booklet page and on screen to complete the activity.

First, ensure that the car is specifically meant for the Apptivity Hot Wheels game, and not a regular Hot Wheels car. You will be able to tell whether it is for Apptivity by looking for the contact points on the bottom of the car.
-
Ensure that the contact points are extended rather than retracted. There is a button on the bottom of the car that allows you to switch between traditional Hot Wheels car play (retracted) and Apptivity mode (extended).
-
Check the bottom of the car for debris, and wipe it with a clean, dry cloth.
-
Wipe your screen with a soft, dry cloth to ensure the best conductivity with the car.
-
Make sure you are holding the car in the right location in order for it to be recognized.
-
Hold it in the center and on the sides of the car while the tires are on the screen.
-
Make sure that you are not placing the car on the black or white frame around the iPad screen. You must keep the car only within the screen area.
-
Do not wear gloves or mittens since the car needs to come in contact with your fingertips.
