Do not place used batteries in your regular trash. Instead, return the battery to a federal or state approved lead-acid battery recycler. This may be a Power Wheels® Authorized Service Center or a local retailer of automotive batteries.

During snowy or rainy weather, the vehicle should be stored inside or under protective cover. Remember to charge the batteries at least once per month while your vehicle is not in regular use.

There are two benefits to registering a Power Wheels vehicle. Fisher-Price will attempt to notify known consumers if the product is possibly affected by a recall. Registering your product may allow us to attempt to reach you at this address should a recall occur involving your product. This notification is limited to that which may be provided according to our records of last known mailing address and subject to mail forwarding limitations imposed by postal service regulations. The registration card also registers your contact information and purchase date in our database for warranty purposes. Your vehicle has a one year warranty from the purchase date on your sales receipt (which we recommend you staple onto your owners manual and keep for future reference). Our Power Wheels registration card gives us the opportunity to record your product information and purchase date accurately, to provide expeditious service.

Power Wheels vehicles can be wiped down with a soft, dry cloth. For a shiny finish, you can wipe the plastic parts with a non-wax furniture polish, applied to a soft-cloth. Do not use automotive wax. Do not use soap and water or spray the vehicle with a hose. Check all nuts, bolts, and their protective coverings regularly and tighten, as required. Check plastic parts on a regular basis for cracks or broken pieces.

Toddler vehicles are designed to be used on asphalt and other hard surfaces. They should only be used on level terrain.

Our chargers measure approximately 9 - 11 volts with a meter on an open circuit (charger not plugged into anything.) If you measure the voltage of the charger after it is connected to the battery, the reading may actually increase to 12 - 15 volts. A six volt charger measures approximately 6 - 8 volts depending on the capacity that still needs to be delivered to the battery.

Assembly of a Power Wheels® vehicle may take a couple hours, please be sure to set aside an hour to two hours for assembly.
|
|
You can expect to get one to three hours of riding time, per charge. Riding time is affected by the riding surface, passenger weight, the charge of the batteries, whether the vehicle is used intermittently or continuously, the condition of the electrical switches and connectors, whether the vehicle is used in low or high speed and the temperature.

|
The surfaces of Power Wheels vehicles were not made to be painted. Paint will not adhere well to the surface of the vehicle. Our vehicles have a polished finish, which would likely prohibit good adhesion. The flexing that a vehicle sees in normal operation can cause the paint to crack and flake off.

The voltage for a 6 volt battery should be just under 7.5 volts per battery when the batteries are completely charged and still connected. As soon as the batteries are unplugged from the charger, the voltage will begin to drop. Within one hour, the voltage of each battery will be about 6.5 volts and remain there for a very long time. The 12 volt battery should read between 12.8 and 13.3 if the battery has been disconnected from the charger for more than an hour.
