Rockers, Swings, and Bouncers should not be used for sleep. In 2022 the ASTM safety warnings for these products were revised to state:
“Stay near and watch baby during use. This product is not safe for sleep or unsupervised use. If baby falls asleep, remove baby as soon as possible and place baby on a firm, flat surface, such as a crib or bassinet.”
The Glide 'n Swing is a glider for newborns that very easily converts to a traditional swing for older babies, giving mom the ability to soothe baby at the youngest age with a gentle motion and the ability to soothe and entertain with a swing - or just try different motions when baby is fussy. There are 6 speeds which can be used in either the Glider or Swing mode. The seat back has 2 recline positions and a 3-point restraint harness to keep baby secure. A small tray lets mom put food or small toys near baby. The deluxe soft goods include an infant insert that is removeable and machine washable. Mom can choose to use just motion or motion and music which plays continuously. There are 2 music modes with 16 songs in total: 8 ethereal, spa-like songs, and 8 more traditional lullabyes. Mom can choose which of the two styles of music she and baby desire. A swing away mobile with 3 plush toys hangs overhead. Includes a plug with a quick-release safety feature for continuous swinging without batteries, but is also operable by 4 D batteries.
