- Try moving your InteracTV controller closer to the TV.
- Replace the batteries on your InteracTV controller.
- Make sure your InteracTV controller is pointed directly at your DVD player.
- Always be sure your hand and the activity card are not covering the red window on the front of the InteracTV controller when removing and inserting an activity card.
- Make sure there are no large objects between your InteracTV controller and your DVD player. Large objects can block the signal between your controller and DVD player.
- When changing activity cards, always make sure you remove the activity card from your InteracTV controller slowly, wait a few seconds, and then insert another activity card.
- Double check that the 3-position memory switch on the underside of your InteracTV controller is in the proper position. Refer to your InteracTV User's Manual for instructions on how touse the 3-position memory switch.

Here are some tips that may help you during the quick setup:
- Make sure you are using fresh alkaline batteries inside your InteracTV controller.
- If you have followed the instructions on the quick setup sheet and your InteracTV controller is still not working with your DVD player, try the setup sheet again from the beginning. It is possible that one of the numbers did not register when you entered in your DVD code.
- When pressing the numbers on the programming card, make sure your press each number firmly and slowly. The green light on your controller should blink one time after each number is pressed. When the fourth digit is pressed, make sure the green light on your InteracTV controller blinks one long blink. If you do NOT see this long blink, remove the programming card, re-insert it into the controller and try the same code again.

There are several things you can try:
- Always make sure you remove the activity card from your InteracTV controller slowly, wait a few seconds, and then insert an activity card.
- The red window on the front of your InteracTV controller should always be pointed directly at your DVD player.
- Always be sure your hand and the activity card are not covering the red window on the front of the InteracTV controller when you are removing and inserting the activity card. Covering up this red window can block the signal between your InteracTV controller and your DVD player.

Each DVD player will respond differently to your InteracTV controller. Some players will take longer to access the DVD then other players do. For the best results, please make sure that you press the button one time and then wait a few seconds for a reaction from your DVD player. If you do not get a reaction from your DVD player after a few seconds, try pressing the button again. Also, make sure you are pressing the buttons firmly.

- Insert the test card. If the DVD skips to the test screen, press each letter A-I on the test card and wait for the corresponding letter to light up on the TV screen before pressing the next letter. If each of the letters successfully lights up, press each of the two arrow buttons and wait for the arrow button to light up on the TV screen before pressing the next arrow button.
- If all the buttons light up, remove the test card. The footage should now display a screen with 3 activity cards on it (menu screen). If so, you have successfully programmed the controller.
- Insert an activity card you are now ready to play. See the "Playing with InteracTV" section of your manual.
- If all the buttons do not light up or you return to the menu screen when the card is removed (the controller is only partially functional), it is possible there is a different code which will give the controller full functionality. Try programming a different code using one of the two programming methods. See Programming the remote using Manufacturer’s codes section or Programming the unit using the manual search method section of your manual.
- If you have exhausted all the codes and none of them gives you full functionality, (changing a macro may help) see the "Using Macros" section of your manual.
