If all codes in the instruction manual have been tried unsuccessfully or your brand of DVD player is not listed, it is possible that the code for your DVD player may still be in the controller. You may be able to find the code using the manual search method.
- Make sure the controller has good batteries and slide the 3 position memory switch on the back of the controller to the desired memory position.
- Insert the compilation DVD into the DVD player and turn on the DVD player and TV.
- Insert the programming card into the controller, the green light should blink twice.
- Point the controller at the DVD player and press the left arrow key.
- Continue to press the left arrow key at a 1 second interval. Be sure to watch to see if the power to the DVD player turns off.
- If the power to the DVD player turns off stop and remove the programming card. Turn the DVD player back on. Play the disk and allow the DVD footage to play through until it gets to the screen, which shows the 5 different activity cards.
- Insert the test card into the controller, the green light should blink twice.
- The DVD should skip to the test screen, if it does not remove the test card and re-insert the programming card and continue from step 5.
This process may take a while. If you press the left arrow button more than 300 times and the green light no longer blinks, it is possible that your DVD player's code is not supported by this version of the controller. Verify version and if new version includes more codes for their DVD player. If so, send a new controller. If no new codes have been added to their brand of DVD player, you will need to follow the service policy, return for voucher or refund.
If the test card skips to the footage, which resembles the test card then proceed with testing the controller. See Testing the unit section of your manual or quick set up instructions.

Signs that you may need a macro -
- When testing with the test card, the consumer is getting no functionality
with the any buttons. A character macro maybe needed.
- The controller is shipped with several default macros. Certain DVD
players require an enter command be sent after the numeric commands (arrow keys
do not require enter), others require that all commands be sent multiple times
(repeated).
- The macros are programmed after the manufacture code has been programmed.
- There are two sets of macros. One set controls the number of times a
command is sent.
- The other sends additional characters with the number commands.
Additional characters:
- 0001 – Will send only the numeric command (1-9)
- 0002 – Will send the numeric command (1-9), then enter (default)
- 0003 – Will send zero then the numeric command (1-9)
- 0004 – Will send zero then the numeric command (1-9) then enter.
Number of times command is sent
- 0005 – Will send the IR command one time
- 0006 – Will send the IR command 2 times (default)
- 0007 – Will send the IR command 3 times
- If no macro is entered the controller will use the default macros. In most
cases the default macro will function fine and does not need to be changed.
- The additional character macro is specific to the 3 pos. memory
switch. Every time a new manufacture code is programmed the Additional
character macro will reset to the default code.
- The additional character macro only affects the number 1-9 it does not
affect the arrow buttons
- The number of times command is sent macro is assigned to all positions of
the memory switch and will not reset to default even if a new manufacturers code
is entered. The consumer must reprogram it to change it.
- When programming a macro each button pressed will flash the green indicator
light once. When the final digit is pressed and the macro is programmed
the green indicator light will flash twice (just like when inserting a card).
- After any of these commands are entered into the controller, the controller
will stop responding to button presses until the card is removed and
re-inserted.
- Version 1.0 remotes do not support macros and will not display the double
blink after the 4th button is pressed.

No. The setup of your controller is required only one time for each DVD player with which you are using your InteracTV controller. If you have correctly setup your controller with the software that was included with your InteracTV controller, the controller should work with the separately sold software titles.

Here are some tips that may help you during the quick setup:
- Make sure you are using fresh alkaline batteries inside your InteracTV controller.
- If you have followed the instructions on the quick setup sheet and your InteracTV controller is still not working with your DVD player, try the setup sheet again from the beginning. It is possible that one of the numbers did not register when you entered in your DVD code.
- When pressing the numbers on the programming card, make sure your press each number firmly and slowly. The green light on your controller should blink one time after each number is pressed. When the fourth digit is pressed, make sure the green light on your InteracTV controller blinks one long blink. If you do NOT see this long blink, remove the programming card, re-insert it into the controller and try the same code again.
